Basic Coverage of Fundamental Blueprint Principles Mar 08, 2008
By Drewbie Goodman
"Drewbie good"
This book is geared toward mechanical prints and covers the basic blueprint reading principles. It is a good buy for a person starting in a machine shop where they will be seeing a lot of prints.
I bought it hoping it could outline some more advanced drafting principles like welding symbols. It does briefly cover these and most everyday aspects of blueprint reading, however only in a very basic sense.
On the other hand, it does guide one through all the principles and help one to remember them through exercises. But it is for absolute beginners only; those just starting to study Drafting or those wishing to learn how to read shop prints. For those it is a good start.

I loved this book. For someone beginning the quest for mechanical and engineering knowledge, this is just the right book to start with. The ability to read blue prints in critical to any similar pursuit. I will be attempting to learn CAD/CAM or Pro/E next and this will make a fantastic foundation. Thank you Warren Hammer.
